Imperial Repulsor trains were an evolution of the tracked & rail designs used in the early Empire. Fast, armored, and heavily armed, the trains were used to transport high value cargo and personnel. Imperial trains of various types are featured in Solo: A Star Wars Story and the Rogue Squadron games.
